About Stenodactylus doriae (Blanford, 1874)
Stenodactylus doriae reaches a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of approximately 8.3 cm (3.3 in). Large scales border its eyes, to protect the eyes from sand while the animal burrows. This species is found in Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Its preferred natural habitat is desert, ranging in altitude from sea level up to 1,000 m (3,300 ft). Stenodactylus doriae is oviparous, and produces clutches of one or two eggs per clutch.
