About Stenocorus schaumii (LeConte, 1850)

Stenocorus schaumii is a species of longhorn beetle belonging to the family Cerambycidae. Adult individuals of this species measure between 17 and 29 millimetres, which equals 0.67 to 1.14 inches, in length. Their bodies can be either black or brownish-red in color. Like other species in the genus Stenocorus, this beetle has broad shoulders, tuberculated sides on the pronotum, and wrinkled elytra. The larvae of Stenocorus schaumii feed on Fraxinus, maple, and other types of hardwood plants.
