Stegastes flavilatus (Gill, 1862), commonly known as the beaubrummel, is a species of damselfish belonging to the family Pomacentridae. It is native to the tropical eastern Pacific Ocean. Its geographic range stretches from Baja California, Mexico and the Gulf of California southward to the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador. This species inhabits rocky inshore reefs, at depths between 1 and 10 meters (which equals 3 feet 3 inches to 32 feet 10 inches).
