About Sphenomorphus sabanus Inger, 1958
The Sabah slender skink (Sphenomorphus sabanus Inger, 1958) is a slender lizard with smooth scales. Living individuals are dark grey, and do not have a black neck spot or a black lateral stripe. Their ventral surface is cream-colored, and mature males of the species have an orange tint on their flanks. When preserved in alcohol, the species' color changes to a range between brown and greyish brown. This is a terrestrial skink species.
