About Sphaerodactylus vincenti Boulenger, 1891

Vincent's least gecko, whose scientific name is Sphaerodactylus vincenti Boulenger, 1891, is a species of lizard that belongs to the family Sphaerodactylidae. This species is endemic to the Caribbean. Sphaerodactylus vincenti is distributed across the Windward Islands, with the exception of Grenada, the southernmost island in the island chain. It can be found specifically on the islands of Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent. The preferred natural habitats for Sphaerodactylus vincenti are forest and shrubland. Its population reaches the highest density in moist, shaded leaf litter microhabitats. These microhabitats offer the geckos shelter, access to food sources, and protection from desiccation.
