Sphaerodactylus difficilis, commonly called the Hispaniolan eyespot sphaero or difficult least gecko, is a species of lizard that belongs to the family Sphaerodactylidae. This species is endemic to the island of Hispaniola. Juvenile Sphaerodactylus difficilis have horizontal stripes across their bodies, though these stripes do not extend to their heads and necks. When individuals reach adulthood, brown spots develop on their backs.
