Sparganium erectum, commonly known as simplestem bur-reed or branched bur-reed, is a perennial plant species belonging to the genus Sparganium. The larvae of the moth Plusia festucae feed on this plant. One accepted subspecies is Sparganium erectum subsp. microcarpum (Neuman) Domin, which has the synonym Sparganium microcarpum (Neuman) Celak.
