About Solanum densevestitum F.Muell. ex Benth.

Solanum densevestitum, commonly known as the felty nightshade, is a flowering shrub found on the east coast of Australia. It grows north of Woolgoolga, in eucalyptus forest, rainforest, and woodland, and is typically found near the coast. This is an erect shrub that reaches up to one metre in height. Its leaves measure 6 to 9 centimetres long and 3 to 5 centimetres wide, are covered in soft hairs, and can be oval, elliptic, or narrow-ovate in shape. Pale violet flowers appear throughout the year, but are most commonly seen in spring or autumn. The plant produces a red berry roughly 7 millimetres in diameter, which is mostly covered by the plant's calyx lobes.
