Smilax havanensis Jacq., commonly called everglades greenbrier, is a species of plant. It is native to Cuba, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and southern Florida. This species is a perennial vine that has sharp prickles. It produces small, green flowers, and its berries are dark purple with a waxy coating. Aprostocetus smilax, a type of eulophid wasp, induces the formation of galls on Smilax havanensis.
