Smilax ecirrhata, commonly called upright carrionflower, is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the Greenbriar family. It is native to Ontario, Canada, and the central United States, specifically the Great Lakes Region and the Mississippi, Ohio, and Missouri Valleys. This species grows in rich, calcareous floodplain forests. It is a herbaceous plant that produces green flower umbels in late spring.
