About Sinum perspectivum (Say, 1831)

This species, Sinum perspectivum, has a maximum recorded shell length of 51 mm. Its shell is shallowly coiled, with a wide opening, a smooth curved outline, and is white both on its outer surface and inner cavity. Like all other members of its family, Sinum perspectivum is carnivorous. This species occurs along the eastern coast of America, ranging from Maryland south to Brazil, and it is also found around Bermuda. Its recorded habitat depth ranges from a minimum of 0 m to a maximum of 70 m.
