About Sinomicrurus sauteri (Steindachner, 1913)

Sinomicrurus sauteri reaches a total length of 98 cm (39 inches), including its tail. The dorsal (upper) side of its body is dark brown or crimson, marked with three black longitudinal stripes that run from the neck to the tip of the tail. The mid-dorsal stripe is narrower than the two lateral stripes. This species occurs in forests and meadows in lower to middle altitude mountainous regions. Sinomicrurus sauteri reproduces by laying eggs (it is oviparous).
