About Silene verecunda S.Watson
Silene verecunda S.Watson is an extremely variable plant species. Generally, it is a perennial herb that grows between 10 centimeters and over half a meter tall, and it usually produces several erect stems. The plant has a hairy texture, and is typically glandular and sticky. Its leaves are lance-shaped and variable in size, with the largest leaves usually growing at the caudex. Each individual flower is enclosed in a tubular calyx made of fused sepals, which is marked with ten veins along its length.
