Sida spinosa, commonly called prickly fanpetals, is a widespread flowering plant species belonging to the Malvaceae family. It is native to seasonally dry tropical and subtropical regions, covering Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Madagascar, parts of the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. It has been introduced to many other areas around the world.
