This genus has a complex taxonomic history, and multiple different names have been used for its only species. The single species in this monotypic genus is Sericinus montela Gray, 1852, commonly called the dragon swallowtail. This species is distributed across the Russian Far East (south of Primorsky Krai), Korea, China, and Japan.
