Seqocrypta jakara is a species of mygalomorph spider belonging to the Barychelidae family. This species is endemic to Australia, and was first described in 1994 by Australian arachnologist Robert Raven. Its specific epithet jakara comes from an Aboriginal term for the region where the species occurs.

In terms of distribution and habitat, Seqocrypta jakara is found in south-eastern Queensland, with its range extending into north-eastern New South Wales. It inhabits both open and closed forest environments, and is widespread across the Brisbane area. The species' type locality is Acacia Ridge, a southern suburb of Brisbane.
