Senecio bigelovii A.Gray is a plant that can reach up to 90 centimeters (35 inches) in height, with leaves that grow up to 20 centimeters (8 inches) long. This species produces yellow flower heads that measure 1.5 centimeters (1/2 inch) wide, and it blooms between July and September. It is native to the Colorado Plateau region of the United States, where it grows in moist soil in grassy areas and forests.
