About Selepa celtis Moore, 1858
This species, Selepa celtis Moore, 1858, has forewings that are pinkish-rufous gray, and pale gray hindwings. Markings on adult moths are stronger in females. The postmedial line is finely double, while the antemedial line is regular. The caterpillar stage has a rufous-yellow body and a black head. These caterpillars are pests of multiple economically important agricultural crops. Caterpillar populations can be controlled by using parasitoids from the genus Dissolcus.
