About Sedum radiatum S.Watson

Sedum radiatum S.Watson is a species of flowering plant in the Crassulaceae family, commonly called Coast Range stonecrop. It is native to Oregon and California, where it occurs in several coastal and inland mountain ranges, including the Klamath Mountains and the Sierra Nevada. It grows in many types of rocky habitat, and can sometimes be found growing on serpentine soils. It is an annual or biennial succulent plant that produces several stems with elevated, somewhat basal leaf rosettes. Its leaves are typically no more than one centimeter long, and are green or yellowish with green, purple, or red veining. Its inflorescence is a short, erect cluster holding many densely packed flowers. The flowers have lance-shaped petals in yellow, cream, or white, which measure between half a centimeter and one centimeter in length.
