About Sedum obtusatum A.Gray
This succulent plant, Sedum obtusatum A.Gray, produces basal rosettes of waxy leaves. Its leaves are oval or spoon-shaped, reaching up to 3 centimeters in length, with smaller leaves growing higher up the stem. Leaf color ranges from green to blue-green, and may be red-tinged or entirely red. The inflorescence is an upright, sometimes flat-topped cluster that holds many flowers. The flowers have white petals tinged with green, yellow, or orange, and blooming typically occurs from May to June. While it is not an obligatory host, this plant is recorded as a beneficial organism for the Euptoieta claudia butterfly.
