About Scyllarides squammosus (H.Milne-Edwards, 1837)
Scyllarides squammosus, first described by H. Milne-Edwards in 1837, is a species of slipper lobster commonly called the blunt slipper lobster. This species lives across the Indo-West Pacific region. Its specific range extends from East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, Melanesia, New Caledonia, and multiple regions of Australia: Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia. Blunt slipper lobsters have been recorded living at depths between 7.5 meters and 71 meters.
