Scutellaria californica, commonly known as California skullcap, is a plant species that is endemic to California. It grows in scrub habitats and low-elevation mountains in Northern California. This is a small plant that reaches a maximum height of half a meter. It produces small, white or yellowish flowers that resemble snapdragon flowers, and the flowers are reported to have an apple scent. Its green leaves are arranged oppositely along its erect stem.
