This moth species, Scopula addictaria (Walker, 1861), has a wingspan of approximately 22–26 millimetres, which equals 0.87–1.02 inches. The outer margin of its hindwings is more or less angled at vein 4. The moth is an ochreous-white color with bright ochreous tones. The postmedial line of its forewings is sinuous, and it is strongly excurved below the costa rather than being minutely waved. Its patches are bright rufous, and its sub-marginal markings are bluish grey.
