About Scincella reevesii (Gray, 1838)

Scincella reevesii, commonly known as Reeves's smooth skink, is a species of skink, a type of lizard that belongs to the family Scincidae. This species is endemic to Asia. The confirmed geographic range of S. reevesii includes southern China (Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Hong Kong), Indochina (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam), and extends south to Western Malaysia, Myanmar, India, and Nepal. There is an unconfirmed, questionable record of this species from Korea. Any previously reported sightings of S. reevesii from Bangladesh actually refer to the species Sphenomorphus maculatus. S. reevesii reproduces via ovoviviparity.
