Schuettea scalaripinnis Steindachner, 1866 is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the moonyfish family Monodactylidae. Its common names are eastern pomfred and ladder-finned pomfret. This is a small schooling fish that grows up to 24 centimeters in length. It is found in coastal areas ranging from southern New South Wales to central Queensland, and is frequently observed in large schools off the edges of sheltered rocky ledges.
