About Schrankia costaestrigalis (Stephens, 1834)

Technical description and variation: The wingspan of Schrankia costaestrigalis ranges from 16 to 22 mm, and the forewing length measures 9 to 11 mm. The forewing is whitish ochreous, mixed with brownish fuscous coloring towards the costa. A fine black dash sits beneath the costa at the base. The inner line is partly blackish and dentate; the outer line is oblique, irregular, partly marked with dark coloring and edged with whitish on the posterior side. The cellspot is small, blackish, and connected to the outer line by dark fuscous suffusion. The subterminal line is indistinct and pale. The hindwing is luteous whitish, with a grey discal dot.
