Schinia suetus Grote, 1873 is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1873. This moth is widespread across the mountains of western North America; its range extends from southern Alberta west to British Columbia, south at least to Colorado and California, and east to Idaho and New Mexico. The wingspan of Schinia suetus is around 25 millimeters. Adult moths are active on the wing from June to July, with the exact timing varying by location. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the genus Lupinus.
