Schendyla nemorensis C.L.Koch, 1837 can reach a maximum length of 28 millimeters. Males of this species have 37 to 41 pairs of legs, most commonly 39 pairs. Females have 39 to 43 pairs of legs, most commonly 39 or 41 pairs. This species is principally distributed across the Palearctic realm, but it has been introduced to Tasmania after originating from Europe. Its type locality is the area near Regensburg, located in Bavaria, southern Germany.
