Scarus dimidiatus Bleeker, 1859, commonly called the yellowbarred parrotfish, is a species of marine ray-finned parrotfish that belongs to the family Scaridae. This fish is distributed in the western Pacific Ocean, ranging from Indonesia east to Samoa, north to the Ryukyu Islands, and south to the Great Barrier Reef. Ecologically, Scarus dimidiatus inhabits coral-rich waters in protected reefs, at depths between 1 and 12 meters.
