About Scaevola platyphylla Lindl.

Scaevola platyphylla, commonly called broad-leaved fanflower, is a shrub that belongs to the Goodeniaceae family. This species is endemic to the south-west region of Western Australia. Mature plants reach a height between 0.3 and 1.3 metres. In its native range, it produces blue to purple flowers from August through January. It was first formally described in 1839 by English botanist John Lindley, in his publication A sketch of the vegetation of the Swan River Colony.
