Saxifraga hirculus L. is a species of saxifrage that is commonly known by the common names marsh saxifrage, yellow marsh saxifrage, and bog saxifrage. It is a perennial herb that grows 5 to 30 centimeters tall, produces yellow flowers, has a red stem, and is typically found growing on bog landscapes. This species is a documented food source for two fungus species: the generalist fungus Mycosphaerella tassiana, and the pathogenic fungus Melampsora hirculi.
