This species is found in Morocco, in the region between the Sous River and Boujdour, which is located in Western Sahara, a territory administered by Morocco. The common name Harris's lizard-fingered gecko has been created for this species. Individuals in the type series of Saurodactylus harrisii have a snout–vent length that ranges from 17–29 mm, or 0.7–1.1 inches.
