About Sarisophora leucoscia Turner, 1919

Sarisophora leucoscia is a moth species belonging to the family Lecithoceridae. It occurs in Australia, including Queensland, and New Zealand. Its wingspan is approximately 15 millimeters. The forewings are whitish, suffused with fuscous, which leaves the basal costal area, a median streak, and most of the central area whitish. A broad, rounded dark-fuscous dorsal patch stretches from the base to beyond the middle of the wing. The discal spots are dark-fuscous: the first sits at one-third of the wing, the second sits just beyond the middle, and the plical spot is contained within the dorsal patch. A dark-fuscous subcostal line runs from the base to one-fourth along the wing, and some dark fuscous scales appear on the postmedian veins. The hindwings are pale grey.
