Sarangesa motozi (Wallengren, 1857) has a wingspan of 36–38 mm (1.4–1.5 in) for males and 38–40 mm (1.5–1.6 in) for females. The upper surface of its wings is variegated brown and grey. This species is distributed from Cape Town and the eastern side of South Africa, through Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Angola, to Kenya and Ethiopia.
