About Samla riwo (Gosliner & Willan, 1991)
Mature individuals of Samla riwo typically grow up to 20 mm in length. Its body is translucent white and covered by a lacy, white network of pigment. The oral tentacles have expanded tips shaped like spear points or paddles. For each of its cerata, the lower two-thirds is translucent and contains a pale peach-coloured digestive gland. Above this translucent section, each ceras has a purple band, and ends in a white tip. Its rhinophores have a bare, cylindrical basal section, which connects to a perfoliate club that holds 16 to 22 densely packed lamellae. This species was first described based on specimens collected from Madang, Papua New Guinea, and has been reported from locations across the Indo-West Pacific.
