About Salvia forskaehlei L.
Salvia forskaehlei L. grows into large basal clumps that reach 0.6 meters (2 feet) in both height and width. Its leaves are covered in hairs: they are parsley-green in spring, and turn dark green in summer. This plant produces few flower whorls that are widely spaced. The flowers are showy, two-lipped, and violet-blue in color; the lower lip has white streaks with yellow markings.
