About Salix salviifolia Brot.
Salix salviifolia Brot. is a shrub that grows 1 to 3 meters tall. Its branches are grayish and covered in soft, fine hairs. Twigs of this species have dense but short hairs. The leaves are moderately wide, and are shaped more or less elliptical or oblanceolate. The leaves themselves are whitish, with a fine fluffy layer of hairs on their underside that creates this whitish appearance. This species is endemic to the Iberian Peninsula. Within the Iberian Peninsula, it grows in the center and the western half. It is abundant in the Central System, Montes de Toledo, Sierra Morena, Extremadura, Duero depression, Tagus depression, and Guadiana depression.
