About Sabera caesina (Hewitson, 1866)
Sabera caesina, commonly known as the white-clubbed swift or black and white swift, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. Its known distribution includes Queensland in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Aru Islands and Papua in Indonesia. This species has a wingspan of approximately 30 millimeters. The larvae of the subspecies S. c. albifascia feed on the plant species Archontophoenix alexandrae, Normanbya normanbyi, and Calamus caryotoides. Subspecies S. c. barina is thought to feed on species from either the Licula or Calamus genera.
