About Rytidosperma racemosum (R.Br.) Connor & Edgar
Rytidosperma racemosum, commonly called wallaby grass, is a species of grass that occurs in New Zealand, and southern and eastern Australia. It is a widespread plant across many regions of Australia, where it grows everywhere except the most arid locations. Its specific epithet racemosum comes from the Latin word meaning bearing racemes. This grass can grow up to 0.6 meters (2 feet 0 inches) tall. Two varieties are currently recognized: Rytidosperma racemosum var. racemosum and Rytidosperma racemosum var. obtusatum.
