Rostanga pulchra MacFarland, 1905 can reach a maximum length of 30 mm. This well-known species is distributed along the Pacific Ocean coast of North, Central, and South America, ranging from Point Craven, Alaska down through the Gulf of California, Panama, Chile, to Argentina. It is found intertidally under boulders and in shallow water, and typically feeds on the sponge Ophlitaspongia pennata.
