About Roridomyces roridus (Fr.) Rexer
Roridomyces roridus, commonly called the dripping bonnet or the slippery mycena, is an agaric fungus species belonging to the family Mycenaceae. Its mushroom cap is tannish in color, fading to whitish or dirty yellow, with a broadly convex shape and a diameter ranging from 5–15 mm (0.2–0.6 in). Its whitish stipe is covered in a thick, slippery slime layer. This species can be bioluminescent, and it is one of several species that cause foxfire. It looks similar to some other members of its genus. It has no known culinary value because of its small size and slipperiness.
