About Rickenella fibula (Bull.) Raithelh.

Rickenella fibula (also classified as Omphalina fibula) is a fungal species in the genus Rickenella, commonly called the orange moss navel. It is sometimes also referred to as the moss sentinel, a name that comes from its habit of growing among moss. Its fruit bodies range in color from orange to yellow. The cap is quite small, usually measuring less than 1 centimetre (3⁄8 inch) in diameter. The stipe is relatively long, reaching around 1.5–4.5 cm (5⁄8–1+3⁄4 inches) in length. This fungus has little noticeable odor or taste, and is classified as nonpoisonous. It produces a white spore print.
