About Rhoptropus boultoni Schmidt, 1933

Dorsally, Rhoptropus boultoni is colored olive-brown to dark grey, with maroon mottling. Ventrally, its color ranges from lighter gray to bluish gray. Adult individuals usually have a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 5.5 to 7 cm, which equals 2.2 to 2.8 inches. This species is found in Angola, Namibia, and South Africa. Its preferred natural habitat is rocky savanna areas, occurring at altitudes between 50 m and 1,300 m (160 ft to 4,270 ft). R. boultoni is oviparous; adult females lay clutches of two eggs.
