Adults typically have a snout-to-vent length (SVL) ranging from 3.0 to 4.5 cm (1.2 to 1.8 inches), and the maximum recorded snout-to-vent length for this species is 4.9 cm (1.9 inches). Rhoptropus barnardi occurs in Angola and Namibia. Its preferred natural habitats are savanna and rocky areas, located at altitudes between 200 and 1,900 m (660 and 6,230 ft).
