About Rhodiola rhodantha (A.Gray) H.Jacobsen
Rhodiola rhodantha (A.Gray) H.Jacobsen can grow to a height of about 45 centimetres (18 inches). This plant species has small, lanceolate, succulent leaves that lack petioles. Leaves are green on the lower portion of the plant, and reddish on the upper portion. The flowers of Rhodiola rhodantha are hermaphrodite, may be rose-colored or reddish, and are arranged in an inflorescence. This species blooms from July to August, and its seeds ripen from August to September. Rhodiola rhodantha occurs in the United States, specifically in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. It is native to the Rocky Mountains, where it grows at elevations up to 2,700 metres (8,900 feet) above sea level.
