Rhinella spinulosa is a toad species that belongs to the family Bufonidae. It is found in the Andean regions of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru. This species has a broad altitudinal distribution, ranging from sea level up to 5,100 m (16,700 ft) above sea level. It inhabits multiple types of habitats: Andean scrubland and grassland, forested areas in the southern portion of its range, and has also been documented in arable areas. Rhinella spinulosa breeds in temporary ponds, altiplano lagoons, and slow-flowing streams. It is typically abundant in the areas where it occurs.
