About Reticulidia fungia Brunckhorst & Gosliner, 1993

Reticulidia fungia, first described by Brunckhorst & Gosliner in 1993, reaches a maximum total length of 40 mm. It does not reach the same maximum size as the related species Reticulidia halgerda. This species has broad-based ridges, and it has fewer of these ridges than Reticulidia halgerda does. A fine, white border lines the base of these ridges. The mantle margin is broad and has a blue-grey colour. A single black line runs around the side of its foot, positioned slightly above its gills. Reticulidia fungia is distributed across Fiji, Micronesia, Eastern Australia, Taiwan, Christmas Island, Bali, and Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.
