About Recurvaria nanella (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775

Recurvaria nanella, commonly known as the lesser bud moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It has a wide distribution across Europe, and can also be found in Turkey, the Near East, North Africa (including Egypt), the Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Kazakhstan and south-eastern Siberia. This species is also present in North America, where it is most likely an introduced species. The wingspan of adult Recurvaria nanella ranges from 10 to 12 mm. Adult moths are active on the wing from July to August.
