About Raorchestes dubois (Biju & Bossuyt, 2006)

Raorchestes dubois, commonly known as the Kodaikanal bush frog, is a species of frog belonging to the family Rhacophoridae. This species is documented from the southern Western Ghats, in the area near Kodaikanal, Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu, India. Individuals have been observed at elevations ranging from 1900 to 2300 meters above sea level. Its known habitats include roadside vegetation and gardens. Like all other members of the genus Raorchestes, this frog hatches from eggs directly as small fully formed froglets, with no free-swimming tadpole stage.
