About Quercus viminea Trel.

Quercus viminea Trel., commonly called the Sonoran oak or Mexican willow oak, is a North American oak species. It is native to northwestern and west-central Mexico, spanning the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Durango, Nayarit, and Jalisco, and grows primarily in the Sierra Madre Occidental. Its range extends just north of the Mexico-United States international border into Santa Cruz County, located in southern Arizona. This species is an evergreen or drought-deciduous tree that can reach up to 10 metres (33 feet) in height. Its leaves are narrowly lance-shaped and grow up to 15 centimetres (6 inches) long.
